Pennsylvania Homeschoolers

AP* Online Classes

This has truly been my favorite class I have taken yet in all of high school. I cannot recommend it enough! I’ll often find myself reading something lately and realize I’ve started subconsciously analyzing the rhetoric for the author’s strategies in conveying the message (no, self, this is not school work)!

Honors Biology is an inquiry-based course focused on providing students with foundational biological sciences content. It is designed for accelerated students who have good problem-solving skills and the ability and tenacity to work independently to internalize concepts. Students will engage in modeling, mathematics and analytical reading and writing skills to facilitate understanding.  This course involves lecture-discussion, presentations and both hands-on and virtual laboratory activities. The course topics include cells, genetics, ecology, animal structure and function, and evolution and diversity. A study of plant structure and function will be offered as an alternative to studying evolution and diversity.
