AP Calculus AB/BC with Mrs. Henderson

Mrs. Henderson is a wonderful teacher! The well structured lessons, example videos, and assignment feedback helped me throughout the course. I especially benefited from the weekly video meetings where I could ask questions about the material. I felt very prepared for the AP exam. The review at the end of the course prepares you for the types of AP questions and gives you confidence.

This class was definitely challenging and involved a significant amount of work (generally 1–2 hours per day), but as a result, you learn the material extremely well. The material was always accessible, and Mrs. Henderson provided many opportunities for practice through DeltaMath and AP Classroom. She is an excellent teacher who genuinely wants her students to succeed. Her course is flexible and works well with different learning styles and schedules. I frequently had to travel for tournaments, and she was always very accommodating. While it's definitely not a class you want to get behind in, I was able to catch up on weekends or submit assignments ahead of time. She posts a very detailed schedule for the entire year at the beginning of the course, making it pretty easy to manage schedule conflicts. Overall, the class was a great experience and served as very good preparation for the AP Exam.

Taking AP Calculus AB/BC with Mrs. Henderson was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience. The course demanded consistent effort—typically 8–12 hours per week—but the material was presented in a clear, logical way that made even the most complex topics approachable. Her commitment to helping students succeed was evident from day one, as she held weekly office hours where she made herself available to answer questions and clarify difficult concepts. One of the most helpful aspects of her teaching was the detailed feedback she provided—she would go through quizzes, problem sets, and tests line by line, hand-correcting answers and offering personalized explanations. This level of attention helped reinforce key concepts and made it much easier to learn from mistakes. To help succeed on the AP exam, I would recommend attending her office hours, spending sufficient time to learn the material, and, for final review, completing the last four years' FRQs and all of Mrs. Henderson's full-length practice exams.
